The story behind Masque of the Black Rose Elise

Lady Elise, I trust your preparations for the Silken Danse are proceeding smoothly. A fine mistress-of-ceremonies you shall be. You must be. Your houses have weaved a vast web, but gossamer is delicate, especially with the rise of the new Grand General. Be vigilant. Let no thorn pierce our flowers. (The letter is stamped with a rose symbol.)
