What the states mean
The page copies Riot’s own wording, so a notice is not a problem.
- No known issues
- Riot lists nothing for this server, so queues, the client and the store work.
- Notice
- An informational notice, almost always a new client update. Play is unaffected.
- Maintenance
- Riot is updating or repairing the server, so queues stay closed until it ends.
- Incident
- A warning incident, so one feature such as ranked queues, chat or the store is affected.
- Outage
- A critical incident. The server, or a whole feature of it, is down until Riot fixes it.
- Unknown
- Riot’s status feed did not answer in the last ten minutes, so this page cannot tell.
Server status FAQ
Down checks, maintenance and connection trouble.
No League of Legends server reports a problem right now. Informational notices only on BR and ME. This page mirrors Riot’s status feed for every server and reads it every two minutes.
Open this page, or Riot’s own service status page at status.riotgames.com. Riot lists maintenance and incidents there for each server, and this page copies that feed so all 15 servers sit in one view.
Riot closes a server’s queues and takes it offline while it updates the game or repairs something behind it. Announced maintenance sits in the scheduled list, and while it runs the server shows maintenance in progress. Patch days usually bring one.
Riot posts maintenance and incidents on its service status page, status.riotgames.com, and answers connection problems one at a time through Riot Support. This page reads the feed behind that page.
Riot’s status feed did not answer for that server in the last ten minutes. The last good read is shown with the server, and the state comes back as soon as the feed answers again.
Check this page first. If your server shows maintenance or an incident, the problem is Riot’s and nothing on your side fixes it. Otherwise work through Riot Support’s connections troubleshooting guide: restart the client, allow it through your firewall, and run its connection log reader. A client that refuses to log in usually needs Riot Support’s login issues article.
Riot’s feed is read every two minutes. This page shows the time of the last successful check, in UTC.
