Beta - Grand Master Beta Participant is the rarest LoL summoner icon. Riot gave it to the 100 highest-rated players of the 2009 beta. Riot never awarded it again.

Rarest first, ranked by how few players could meet each requirement. Riot does not publish how many players own an icon.

Tournament and leaderboard winners

These icons went to the winners of a Clash bracket or to the top 2,000 players on China's Master's Challenge server. Each Clash bracket had one winning team.

Retired modes and one-off rewards

Each of these icons depended on a game mode, a system or an event that has ended. Nobody can meet these requirements today.

Exalted and Transcendent skin icons

Each of these icons came with an Exalted or Transcendent skin. Riot sold those skins for a limited time and does not sell them now.

Season 3 - Challenger

Riot added the Challenger tier in Season 3. That season, the tier held only the top 50 players on each server.

Radiant Wukong Icon

Riot gave it to players who bought the Radiant Wukong figure from the Riot merch store in 2017. The figure is still on sale, but it no longer comes with the icon. The client description credits a Worlds 2017 pick prediction instead.

Riot retired Dominion in 2016. Nobody can earn the 100 Dominion wins it asks for now.

Riot retired Honor 1.0 in 2017. The ribbons and top-10% rankings that earned this icon ended with it.
