Challenger and Grandmaster cutoff questions
Seats, minimums and update times for every server.
The LP of the last Challenger seat plus one, or the Challenger minimum when that is higher. Riot sorts every Master, Grandmaster and Challenger player on a server by LP. The top players hold the Challenger seats and the next block holds Grandmaster.
It depends on the server. EUW, KR, NA, SEA and VN have 300 Challenger and 700 Grandmaster seats. BR, EUNE, LAN, LAS, TR and TW have 200 Challenger and 500 Grandmaster seats. JP, ME, OCE and RU have 50 Challenger and 100 Grandmaster seats.
Challenger needs at least 800 LP and Grandmaster 400 LP in BR, EUNE, EUW, LAN, NA and TR. Challenger needs at least 500 LP and Grandmaster 200 LP in JP, KR, LAS, ME, OCE, RU, SEA, TW and VN. Below that minimum a player stays in Master, even when a seat is free.
Riot reassigns the three tiers once a day, at midnight server time. The cutoffs on this page are read from the Riot ladder every ten minutes, so they show where the line would fall if the update ran now.
EUW right now, at 2,398 LP. ME has the lowest at 840 LP. Seat counts differ between servers, so a lower cutoff does not always mean an easier climb.
